Suicide Prevention Training

These 1 or 2 hour trainings offer general awareness on the issue of suicide in our state and nation. The suicide prevention training includes: Statistics and rates of suicide; dispelling myths and misconceptions about suicide; warning signs and ways to recognize signs of suicidal thoughts; ways to ask the question “Are you thinking about suicide?”, and ways to get the support you or someone you are concerned about may need. This training is approved for Washoe County Schools and is helpful for students, staff, parents and any concerned person or group.  Our outreach staff can adjust the content to best meet the needs of your audience.  For more information or to schedule a presentation, please call our business office at 775.784.8085.
